Behind the scenes
Our Story

Responsible Tourism
One step at a time
Join us on a mission to leave the world a better place than we found it, one adventure at a time. At our core, we're all about responsible tourism that benefits the local community and economy. We're honoured to have created job opportunities for the amazing Pahadi folks and and are on the constant lookout for ways to magnify our impact.
We've also joined forces with the local school to make a genuine difference in education. So, come on, jump into our volunteer programs, have a blast, and let's create some positive change together!
We are not superheroes, but we always want to do our part to leave the world better than we found it, one step at a time.
Our Team
Meet the Team
Randeep, the seasoned leader of our pack, with an engineering background, has weaved his expertise through companies like HP and Intel. He's the guiding light, leading the team with a vision that sets the pace for everyone else. When he's not leading, you'll find him on a trek, or behind the wheel, soaking in the joys of driving, with music as his constant companion. He’s always bustling with plans for what's next on the horizon.
Rajani, an engineering graduate with over two decades of experience in customer service, training, and operations, is a student for life. She dreams of cultivating a mutually beneficial team where success is a way of life. Whether co-investing or serving our guests, she is mostly calm. However, if she's not sharing her food, that's the cue to give her some space.
Abhilash Jayapal, an engineer turned storyteller, blends 20+ years of tech expertise with entrepreneurial zeal. As the founder of Terrific Minds and The Gazelle, his journey as an advisor to startups reflects his commitment to innovation. Beyond the tech world, Abhi is a dedicated traveler and a true mountain lover!
At Cafe Buransh, apart from co-investing, he is also our voice to the world. Fun fact: Abhi often misplaces his phone, keys and wallet, but the universe conspires for their return. Cheers to tech, stories, mountains, and serendipity!
Rakesh, a genuine Pahadi soul, generously shared his expertise with a Leh hotel for three fulfilling years before becoming an integral part of the Buransh team. He's been our pillar of strength since the beginning. Embraced by kindness and compassion, he's also on a personal spiritual journey, gracefully balancing the role of a dedicated father, husband, brother and son. Captivated by the serene mountains, Rakesh radiates helpfulness and honesty, with a heart as warm as the winter sun.
Ritik, a Pahadi lad hailing from Chaunda village, with a brief stint at a Chandigarh hotel. His superpower? Being a quick study and always ready to lend a hand. If you ever see him, chances are his earphones are his constant companions, and watch out if his phone battery dips below 50% - that's panic mode for him! His heart beats for carroms and cricket, and reaches its peak joy when he sways to the beats of Pahadi music.
Meet Mahadevan, an avid mountaineer whose heart craves the heights. Firmly believing in the power of hard work and nurturing a deep love for animals and nature, he aspires to conquer the majestic heights of the Himalayas. A certified NIM graduate, Mahadevan spends his time not only leading our guiding team and serving guests at Buransh but also experimenting with new desserts and snacks for our menu.
Anagha started her career in Customer Services and has worked in many other roles since then, including being a trainer and a lactation consultant. A lifelong learner and a hardcore music enthusiast (from M.S. Subbalakshmi to Metallica), she values kindness above everything else and believes in the power of a sharp wit to diffuse tense moments. Committed to self-acceptance, Ana is keen on exploring minimalism. She works from Bangalore while also parenting her daughter, who is nothing short of a fireball. At Cafe Buransh, she is our hospitality coordinator.
Nabeel’s a nomad and an adventurer at heart, always with a GoPro in hand and a smile on his face. Engineer by degree, and a storyteller by passion, he’s a traveler, assistant director, video editor, trek leader, and social media whiz. We first crossed paths when he volunteered at the local school, and now he's a key part of our family, and the magic behind our stories at Cafe Buransh. With his "live life on your terms" mantra, he’s always chasing new experiences, weaving them into everything he does, while forging meaningful connections along the way. A lifelong student, Nabeel often views the world with a childlike wonder, always curious and eager to learn.
